Allah (SWT) says in various verses in Qur'an :
"As for those who divide their religion and break up into sects, you have no part in them in the least: their affair is with Allaah. He will in the end tell them the truth of all that they did." [Al Qur'an 6:159]
"And hold fast, All together, by the rope Which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves;" [Al-Qur’an 3:103]
“And who is better in speech than he who calls to Allah and does good and says : “ I am indeed one of the Muslims.” “ [Al-Qur’an 41:33]
And surely this your Ummah is one Ummah, and I am your Lord, so fear Me alone . But they have broken the affair of their religion into sects among themselves, each group rejoices in that which is with it. So leave them in their ignorance for a time. ( Al-Qur'an 23: 52 -54 )
Divisions, differences and disputes are the cause of the ummah’s defeat, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And obey Allaah and His Messenger, and do not dispute (with one another) lest you lose courage and your strength departs, and be patient. Surely, Allaah is with those who are As-Saabiroon (the patient)” [al-Anfaal 8:46]
Still you divide yourselves among the sects. Still you call yourselves by various other names rather than just a Muslim. Learn Islam, follow and obey, and be together in Islam as one Ummah.
