One day, a rich father took his son on a trip. He wanted to show him how poor someone can be. They spent time on the farm of a poor family. On the way home, father asked, did you see how poor they are? What did you learn? Son replied, "We have one dog, they have 4. We have a pool, they have rivers. We have lanterns at night, they have stars. We buy food, they grow theirs. We have walls to protect us, they have friends. We have encyclopedias, they have Quran." Further he added: Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.
Moral: It's not about money that makes us rich, it's about simplicity and having Allah in our lives.
It has also been reported by Sahaba, that when he approached Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) and asked him "Who is the richest man on earth?"
Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) replied by saying that it's not the one who owns a lot, but the one that is most content with whatever he has.
