There are many torments for an adulterer in this world: The blessings from Rizq (sustenance) are lost, the adulterer is deprived of performing good deeds, the life span of the adulterer decreases and enmity develops in people's heart against the adulterer. The 3 punishments of the hereafter are: Anger of Allah Ta'ala, strict questioning and entrance to hell. Thus, refrain from it all the time.
Only unlawful sexual intercourse is not adultery. The way unlawful sexual intercourse is adultery, in the same way songs & dance, erotic literature, poems, abuses, nude photos keeping and/or viewing nude pictures, listening to private talk, deriving pleasure by imagining a lady, watching a lady who is not one's wife with lust are all considered as adultery. Beware of them all! Due to it, the soul (Ruh) becomes filthy and black and is made unfit for the presence of Allah Ta'ala.
Protect yourself from apparent adultery as well as hidden adultery, which is known to none but Allah Ta'ala. Such as deriving pleasure by imagination of a woman, who is not the wife is adultery of the heart. In the same way, deriving pleasure from the thoughts of other woman while having sex with one's wife is also adultery. Looking at a lady with lust, who is not your wife, is adultery of the eyes.
Lewd gazing has become a common problem nowadays. Only few persons save themselves from it and others don't even care about it. What if you save your eyes from it, we are aware of your heart. Sometimes Satan also cheats that see once to your heart's content, then you will leave ogling. Remember! This is nothing but deception. After getting involved in it once, there is no barrier and very soon, the person will get involved in this. A little courage is required. The brave ones even gave their lives for Allah Ta'ala, can you not take some courage and leave lewd gazing?
