سْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

One of the main issues that is causing disunity within the Ummah is nationalism. Before there were Nations to split us we were just Muslims. But now we are Pakistani, Indians and the list goes on and on. We represent our nation before we represent our Islam. Many have forgotten that our duty is to Allah swt first before anything and we must think of the hereafter when the ground we love so much will spit us out. In Surah 102 Allah swt gives us a Heavy warning about chasing this Dunya and the outcome of it.   Before we broke into nations a time when the Muslims strived to establish a Caliphate they were always successful this Dunya was given to them all of the Nations respected the Muslims. But when the disease of wanting to be our own nation came into our heart we started straying away from our deen and fighting our own Ummah over pity things. Nationalism has cause the blood of Muslims to be spilled in every land we don’t feel their pain because they are not from our Country. Have we forgotten that the person whose blood is spilled is a Muslim who calls to the same Allah swt as we call and loves Muhammad SAW just like we do? The people that love to represent nations are rules by these so called leaders who in front act like they care for the Ummah but in reality they want nothing to do with it. The duty of every Muslim is to strive to please Allah swt and not the leaders of this Dunya so we should unite with one another.

In the Qur'an, Allah (SWT) tells us not to be divided and several Hadith talk against the disease of nationalism:

And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you - when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided. ( Surah 3 Ayat 103)
