The Lady of Great wisdom : Ayshah razi allahu anha 'Ayshah was born in 614 CE, she had claims to noble birth from both sides of the family. Her mother was Umm Roman and her father was Abu Bakr As-Siddiq. She said that there were nine blessings of Allah which distinguished her from all other women in the world except Maryam bint 'Imran, the mother of 'Issa. The Angel Jibril had presented her portrait wrapped in green silk to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and told him that this was the picture of the lady chosen by Allah, to be his consort both in this world and the next. She was the only virgin to have become the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When the Prophet passed away, he was resting in her lap and was buried in her apartment. Many times angels encircled her apartment with love and respect.
Islam and Women At a time when the rest of the world, from Greece and Rome to India and China, considered women as no better than children or even slaves, with no rights whatsoever, Islam acknowledged women's equality with men in a great many respects. The Quran states: "And among His signs is this: that He created mates for you from yourselves that you may find rest and peace of mind in them, and He ordained between you love and mercy. Certainly, herein indeed are signs for people who reflect." [Noble Quran 30:21] Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The most perfect in faith amongst believers is he who is best in manners and kindest to his wife." [Abu Dawud]
Earliest Time of Salatul Jumua The scholars differed as to the earliest time for Jumu‘ah prayer; there are two views:
1. When the sun passes the meridian, like the time for Zuhr prayer, and it is not permissible to pray Jumu‘ah before that.
This is the view of the majority of Hanafi, Maaliki and Shaafa‘i scholars, and al-Nawawi attributed it to the majority of the Sahaabah, Taabi‘een and those who came after them. Imam al-Shaafa‘i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: There is no difference of opinion among all those whom I met that Jumu‘ah cannot be offered until the sun has passed the meridian. End quote. The limits of Human Free Will From the outset, we should point out that this is an issue in which the world's greatest minds have applied themselves, and on account of which many people have lost their way. The Prophet's Companions did not speak about questions of free will and determinism. They did not need to, because their faith was so strong and left no room for the types of doubts to take root which instigate this line of thinking. At the same time, we say that the pillars of faith our Prophet (peace be upon him) described to us are six. They are to believe in Allah, His angels, His Books, His Messengers, the Last Day, and finally divine decree – both the good and the bad that befalls of it. Faith in divine decree has four dimensions:
Is there any extra-terrestrial life? "And among His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the beasts that He has scattered throughout them both: and He has power to gather them together when He wills." [Sûrah al-Shûrâ: 29] Human beings have long wondered: Are we alone in this vast universe? Do any other thinking beings exist on other worlds? We have reason to wonder. Is our planet the only one to bear the fruit of life from among the countless planets of the universe? Is such an eventuality likely? In Allah's creation, does a tree with many branches bear only a single fruit?
Reply to film 'Fitna' This is a reply to Geert Wilders' film Fitna, highlighting the faults in his hatred-stirring arguments, and enabling everyone to get their facts right. An eye for an eye in the Torah, Bible and Qur'an
Verses mentioned in the Fitna film:
Surah Anfal, verse 60: Geert fails to include the very next verse which says, “And if they incline to peace, then incline to it also and rely upon Allah. Indeed it is he who is the hearing, the knowing.”
The Veiled Warrior "The believers, men and women, are Auliya' (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another;..." Today we will see what a Muslim woman can become through a much famous example. Her name is Khawlah bint Al-Azwar, and the battle was against the Romans.
